This Saturday sees the opening matches of the 2010 RBS 6 Nations championship with Ireland looking to get their Grandslam defence off to a good start against Italy at Croke Park whilst England not so much entertain, but prepare for the onslaught of a Welsh team struggling to find the free flowing rugby that won them 2 Grandslams.
You would be forgiven for thinking that these matches were the highlight of the day but you would be sadly mistaken. At 11:30am on the hallowed turf of the King George V playing fields, the referee of the day will blow to begin 80 minutes of the finest Champagne rugby
ever produced on this island. The Champagne will be on display to raise funds for the Haiti disaster.
As always the bar will be open all day and after the match the fund raising effort will continue in the bar with both 6 Nations matches being shown on the big screen.
Match fees
are £10 with all proceeds going to a Haiti disaster relief fund. All are welcome to play with rolling subs being the order of the day. Players from all grades across both Guernsey clubs are welcome. Come along, have some fun and help out a great cause. |
