I started playing rugby at School and represented the Island at under 15 and under nineteen (Colt) level before becoming one of the founder members of the Swan RFC. With the disbanding of the Swan I moved to St Jacques where I captained the 2nd XV for four seasons.
I have the privilege of being the Club Chairman and I can honestly say after 25 seasons of senior rugby I still get a thrill about running out onto a pitch on a Sunday.
Greatest moment:
Taking a 2nd Team to Jersey and beating St Helier (then one of Jersey’s strongest teams) in their own backyard. I still have the team photo on my desk in my study.
Proudest moment:
Every time I pull on a black jersey to play for the club.
Hope for the future:
To see the talent and dedication within the club rewarded with the on-pitch victories it deserves.
