Main position played second row, although my preferred position was number 8, played for about 8 years, a recurring ankle injury forced me to stop playing. Played at a reasonable standard while serving in the army and the highlight of my career was to have a trial to play for the Corps of Royal Engineers, unfortunately there were too many good players around at the time so I didn't make it, in other words I wasn't good enough.
Introduced to St Jacques by way of a couple of entertaining evenings and remembered what great social events come with being involved in Rugby, so decided to become a social member. Like to help out in any way I can and as such run touch when required and help with any pre-match preparations.
Had a great time on the 2003 tour of Jersey and looking forward to the next. My advice to any locals looking to have a laugh and enjoy the small world of Guernsey Rugby, come and join St Jacques RFC, you'll have a ball. |
